Learning
Approach
Rooted in our commitment to nurturing both wisdom and love, our school draws inspiration from the Biblical example of young Daniel, known for his knowledge, discernment, and spiritual integrity. Guided also by Christ’s model of humble servanthood, we have developed the "Daniel Model" as a framework for shaping the character and minds of our students with purpose and faith.

The Daniel Model
At New Covenant School, we believe that true education shapes both the mind and the heart. Guided by our "Daniel Model", we strive to cultivate students who, like the biblical example of Daniel, are spiritually rooted, intellectually strong, and culturally wise. Inspired by Daniel’s unwavering faith and courage, our Founders developed an instructional model that integrates academic excellence with deep spiritual formation, preparing students to engage today’s world with clarity, compassion, and conviction. Grounded in Scripture and Christ’s example of servant leadership, we equip students not only to succeed academically, but to lead lives of great purpose. Students are ready to stand firm in truth, serve others with love, and bring God’s light into every sphere of influence.
Wise & Loving Servanthood
The Daniel Model was developed to guide every part of life at NCS and instill a culture of wise love. Central to this model are the "Six Words of Servanthood". These words reflect the very heart of what it means to live wisely and love deeply at our school. They are six core values that offer encouragement and accountability in the ways that we teach and learn, how we treat one another, and how we follow Jesus each day. Together, they form the acronym CHRIST, reminding us that our purpose of faithful service is found in Him.

The "Six Words of Servanthood" are defined as:
Courage - Taking risks to do what is right
Humility - Laying down my life to do things God’s way
Respect - Recognizing, honoring and protecting the God-given value of others
Integrity - Being faithful and true to God and His Word in all situations and circumstances
Seeker of God - Pursuing an ever-deepening relationship with God
Teachability - Seeking knowledge, understanding, and wisdom
The Daniel Model encapsulates
4 pillars of educational ministry:

Spiritual Formation
At the heart of everything we do is a deep commitment to nurturing each child’s relationship with God. Through daily Morning Chapel, Bible study, Scripture memorization, prayer groups, the annual 5th Grade Mission Trip, and the guidance of our "Six Words of Servanthood", our students have many opportunities to grow in spiritual maturity and character. We aim to lay a solid foundation of faith during these formative years, where every child knows they are deeply loved by God and called to serve with purpose. “If you want to be great in God’s kingdom, learn to be the servant of all.” Matthew 20:26

Innovative Academics
With expert Christian educators, small class sizes, and a rich curriculum, we nurture strong minds and rooted hearts from the earliest years. Our goal is to cultivate thoughtful, courageous learners who are prepared for confident transitions into Kindergarten, Middle School, all leading to a lifetime of purposeful learning. Building on this strong academic foundation, we also equip students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world through innovative programs in STEM, digital literacy, coding, and prototype research. As a pilot school for invention education in partnership with Lemelson/MIT and the Massachusetts and Connecticut Invention Convention, our students engage in hands-on exploration and real-world problem solving that fosters creativity, resilience, and innovation, all within a Christ-centered framework.

Service Learning
Learning is most powerful when it’s rooted in God’s Redemptive Story. Through our Kingdom Service Learning approach, students engage in meaningful, project-based experiences that connect academic content with biblical purpose. This approach challenges students to apply what they learn to real-world needs, further discovering their unique role as Kingdom Builders and Storytellers in God’s mission. Whether working together in the classroom or alongside local professionals, students grow as servant leaders, prepared to care for the future of our world with wisdom and love.

Inspired Arts
We view creativity as an act of worship. Our vibrant arts program invites students to reflect the beauty and truth of God through music, visual arts, drama, and movement. Whether painting a canvas, performing a skit, or composing a rhythm, students discover that artistic expression is more than a skill, it’s a joyful response to the One who created them. Through the arts, they grow in confidence, imagination, and the understanding that their gifts can glorify God as an act of praise and bless others.
